If you have the Nvidia 7400, then the chipset should be the 945PM, if it is the GMA 950 then it should be the 945GM. The Celeron M's should be paired with the 940GM. So your T2250 should most likely be paired with either the 945PM or 945GM depending on which graphics card you have.

It will either be the 945PM or 945GM. The 940 series chipset support only the Celeron M's. Since you have a Core Duo(which means it has the 945 chipset), you should be good to upgrade to the Core 2.

How do I know what chipset I have?

My computer specs are in my sig. CPUZ says it is the 945pm, but I don't know if I trust cpuz.

    Thanks!

There is only 1 Intel chipset which supports the Core/Core 2 Duo, that is the 945 series. If you have integrated graphics(GMA 950) then it is the 945GM otherwise it is the 945PM.

Try Intel's own chipset ID utility if you dont trust CPU-Z.
