    for argument sake which Dell model would compete against the configured HP below? Also, which pentium M is similar to the one in the ZX5000 I have configured?

    Well generally speaking the Dell 8600 would compete with the Zx5000, at least those were my two choices when looking at laptops.

    yeah the only other one woud be the monster 9100, but that one is so poorly designed that I wouldn't consider it, the thing is very thick and uncomfortable to type on, not to mention w/ power adapter it weight 13lbs, wheras the zx5000 w/ adapter is only around 9lbs and the 8600 is more like 6bls
