    I have a HP DV6t qe 6100.

    My current driver is from 4/12/11 which is 8.830.6.200 which shows as 6770 or upgrade to the 5/??/11 which is something higher but shows up as 6700.

    I've found the newer drivers to give marginally better performance. The 5/24 driver (if I remember the date correctly) is the 11.6 catalyst drivers. I think (and I cant quite remember again...my wife is on a trip with the laptop at the moment) the 6/8 drivers are the newest. They are leaked drivers from AMD...either a 11.6 hotfix Release Candidate or a 11.7 RC (hope not the latter because if it is a 11.7 RC they havent fixed the switching for OpenGL yet).

    It's halfway down the page...look for a guy called adser00 and his mobility mod driver.

    I have a weird problem if I update my CCC to the latest version as CCC just wont load up. So I do a custom install and just upgrade the driver only. Not sure if you experience this but just to note as you upgrade.
