    Option 1 - Option 2

I'd like to know which one is compatible with the V2000Z? Thanks.

Option 1. Few laptops, if any, use SATA, as the speed is much more of a factor than bandwidth.

Funny how the picture is the same. It really shouldn't be!

I believe that the v2000z uses IDE drives. (option 1)

Will move this to the correct forum, so that someone who might be 100% sure will notice it :)

The v2000z does indeed use IDE drives. But the dv1000t (a close relative) uses SATA and more laptops are starting to utilize SATA technology.

The SATA drive will not work, it's not the same connector.

Your notebook uses IDE, go with option 1
