oye yaar, from what i've read, the dv4t/5t/7t are awesome machines. they're quite powerful and adequate enough to handle much of what you can throw at it.

i am not sure about being below 800CN, but what you can do is wait around for HP to release another 30% off coupon. There have been two released since mid august, maybe 3, I lost count. but that will significantly reduce the cost and you'd be getting a custom made machine for a gr8 price.

the dv7t i spec'd below, in my sig, cost $2,279 before the 30% off. I paid less than $1600 for it after the discount (before taxes, etc)

so you can't go wrong is what im trying to say.

    chunga ji.

To meet your weight requirement, you'd have to go with the DV4T.

DV5T is a little on the heavy side - but the goods are delievered

And yes, wait for the coupon :)

LOL. external mouse for the win! i almost never touch the trackpad. i personally hate them. ;]

i have the vx nano - i got it for $44 bux at staples. it's such an awesome mouse and has many useful buttons. fwd and back for websites, a button that brings up all apps, etc. many mice have these features but because this one is so comfortable, its a win for me.
