Do the T2060 and T2250 make the high-pitched noise as do the Core 2 Duo Processors?

I think that all Intel processors make the high pitched noise Core Duo family included.

I think I heard people experiencing the same problem with some AMD Turion processors too.

Mine does it too :( (Intel Core 2 Duo T5600)

For Intel as far as I've heard all the Core Duo and Core 2 Duo's make it.

I thought the Turions were absent the high-pitched noise.

I think their noise levels are more or less the same.

Not sure if its an HP specific, but my AMD Turion X2 stops the noise when I change the setting in the HP power options to 99% cpu instead of 100%. I'm not sure how accurate all this is but from the basic things I do with the laptop, I didn't notice any performance hit.
    Cheers

I had a core duo T2600 in a dv5000t and that never had any whine. But my current T7200 dv6000t is very whiny...

It has to do with the processor constantly altering it's running frequency. Try setting your power scheme to something that doesn't allow the processor to change its operating frequency.
