I tried reading through their forum/FAQ section and I still don't understand which version to get. There's so many to choose from and some say the newest ones aren't always the best. Which driver do you use? If not, do you use the NVIDIA driver update provided by Vista? I get a rating of 3.2 on Vista for graphics. I used to have 3.3 but I don't know what happened... :(

    Recap:
    - DV6000t w/ NVIDIA 7400
    - VISTA Ultimate OS
    thanks in advance

there is a ridiculous amount of beta drivers to choose from. and unfortunately, until nvidia gets their sh!t together, you have to take a crap shoot.

i have tried the driver you get from windows update. the driver that came on my express upgrade hp driver disc. the "newest" driver from hp's website. and the 101.09 driver from laptopvideo2go.

i didnt notice a damn difference between any of them other than, i think with the windows update, i scored a 3.3. with all the others, i got a 3.2.
But, unless i'm crazy, i think that with the 101.09 driver makes "flip 3d" smoother.

I dont know. i have uninstalled and reinstalled vista so many times now, and everytime i do it i keep telling myself, this is gonna be the keeper.
but it just aggrevates and irritates the hell out of me.
my system is maxed out, and i sit and watch the process monitor, and its just eating and eating away all my ram. caching god knows what in only a way that vista knows how to do.
I come to terms with the fact that i just have no use for it.

Anyway, i dont want to turn your thread into a rant. so i'll just say, your just going to have to try a bunch of different ones for now, and see whats best for you.

I may have used that and had my score drop from 3.3 to 3.2 as well.

Erm, why don't you just choose the newest stable driver? Or beta one, if you want bleeding edge features?
