on their site, symantec has lot of different versions of norton removal tools.. one for 2007, 2008, 2006 and for nortol 360. Which exactly needs to be used to remove norton internet security version installed on dv6700 notebook..

Their download link says that all versions are supported with the tool. If you know which version you have select that one. Maybe they want to keep tabs on which version people are dumping. The reality is, people have been dumping all versions for quite some time now.

On the download link page it says this: The Norton Removal Tool uninstalls all Norton 2008/2007/2006/2005/2004/2003 products and Norton 360 from your computer. If you use ACT! or WinFAX, back up those databases before you proceed.

So I don't think it matters. The removal tool is probably the only good piece of coding that symantec writes anymore.
