Anyone know? I am reinstalling XP on my dv2000T for this 14th time trying to get my sata drive running properly. btw, I used 82801 GBM and it doesn't seem compatible. Does the 82801 refer to HP's sata controller? Excuse my ignorance but I'm having a real hard time getting things running properly.

    82801 FBM
    82801 FR
    82801 GBM
    82801 GR/GH

Maybe I can save myself the trouble of 3 extra reinstalls.

    Thanks!!

Are you using the HP reinstall discs or trying to use a regular XP CD?

Do a search in the forums for topics about doing a clean install of windows on HP notebooks, there are a few tricks you need to know to get the Windows CD to detect the HDD, there have been several good topics. Sorry I can't go into depth right now...early class in the morning. Good luck, :)
