    Which hard drive for 8510-p , Seagate 320 gb 7200 rpm

    or Hitachi 320 gb 7200 rpm ? B esides warranty is there an advantage to 1 over the other ?
    Will they work with the 8510-p ? or is there a gb limit with this comp ?

    Will drive gaurd and other HP apps work with them ?

    Anything else I need to be aware of , Install problems ?

    bought the hitachi , i hope it's good , i always buy seagate . but going over all tests looks ;like seagate blows it away !

    It might be for sale next week , we wiill see . i think i should have gone with seagate , they never let me down

    I doubt you'd notice a difference between the two drives.

    Yes, DriveGuard will still work because it doesn't have anything to do with what model HDD you're using. The program simply turns off the HDD when the laptop senses it's falling. I had zero problems installing a new HDD in my 8510p. It was a VERY easy process.
