I want to upgrade my current HP ZV5000's hard drive to a 7200 RPM 100GB one. I want to know what kind of hard drive would go into it? What size in inches would the hard drive be?
Which harddrive of these would work?

brianstretch Notebook Virtuoso
Your two choices are the Hitachi 7K100 series and Seagate 7200.1 series 2.5" notebook drive. I'm not sure where you'd buy one in Canada.
You will need to remove the adaptor from your old drive's IDE interface and move it to your new drive. Don't forget to remove your notebook's battery before making hardware changes. -
You"ll need something similar to this drive...(but @ 7200, 100GB)

Hitachi and Seagate are the only 2 manufacturers currently offering 7200rpm HDD's. -

How do those look? Would they work? And which ones better?
According to HITACHI's Website:
E7K100 - http://www.hitachigst.com/portal/site/en/menuitem.a8317ea3f244384ccf1824a0eac4f0a0/
7K100 - http://www.hitachigst.com/portal/site/en/menuitem.72e3cabd3a6a384ccf1824a0eac4f0a0/
The E7K100 offers performance caching and Desktop-like performance - great for aggregate bandwidth or high-end single drive applications.
Thats the only difference that E7K100 has over the 7K100, right? -
So, for better battery life and for better temp tolerance buy 7K100 version.
