Which of these can I get rid of, but still have my new DV5000t work right? I was thinking of disabling the recovery failsafes since it seems that all it does is bring up a dialog box preventing me from deleting files in the recovery partition.

AVG and ZLC are programs I installed by the way

I'd say remind xp is one candidate.

I would add the install shield programs.

What I personally did was google each one and see if it were critical to operation of particular programs. If so, and the program acted erratically, I would check the box again.

what i did is you google each one of those and then this site tells you how important each program is and if it can be disabled wihtout any harm etc, thats best way to do it since everyones computer has different programs and different people have different programs they want/need booted up automatically

    Okay, thanks.

Quick question does disabling that Quick Play.exe do anything? I disabled it and it still works in windows or when windows doesn't load. :/

When you put in a disc it probably won't play automatically, but I'm sure there is a way to turn it on.
