    Hey, I have to get dv3 for my gf and I saw one today at Costco for $999, which is a great price being in Canada. The model # is dv3-1073cl, it has a slot drive, so that's cool, she wanted that upgrade, but I can't figure out if it has backlit keyboard, she would really want it. The other is dv3-1075us from tigerdirect, not big difference in price, but hardware ? and does it have backlit keybord as well ? I don't know where else in canada u can get one for good price?

    i think all dv3's have backlit keyboards, also in the specs on the tigerdirect one it mentions a backlit keyboard.

    dv3's have option on hp website for backlit keyboard. it's $25 extra when u get yours built, so not sure if any of them came with one already installed/activated.
