    hey guys need some suggestion!!
    i am having HP Dv7t 1025nr
    C2D 2.26GHz
    4GB RAM
    512MB 9600M GT
    Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit Edition

    i want to know that is this windows good for gaming!! coz i have my friends saying 32 bit Vista or XP SP3 is better than Vista 64 bit!!!

    yes there are some compatibility issues with some older games, but in 2 years when games are getting optimized for 64bit computing your 32bit OS will be left in the dust.

    have not heard about compatibility issues with games so far. but i don´t game anyway.

    the 64 bit version of vista and xp both have a really good 32 bit emulation integrated and i never had any problems with 32 bit apps. and i am using quite a lot of programs from adobe cs to construction software ( civil engineering) to 3d modelling suites, animation programs ( like maya)... etc.

    never had any problems with 32 bit applications. guess the older 16 bit programs and games are a bit of a pain , and won´t run properly, but newer softwares ( 2-3 years old ) should run properly.

    that what i am tring to run!! with DOX's 180.84 .. i got the textures but the camera is shaking very badly and also the car jus rams into the wall as soon as i press the W button!!
    anybody up for help here!!??

    If you want to use all of your 4GB RAM you have to go with 64-bit Vista. That's what I run.
