I just bought a dv8000t laptop and it arrived yesterday, which is one day earlier than expected.I was so exciting about it but still annoy with the useless bloatware stuff pre-installed on my computer. But when I woke up this morning to turn on my laptop,it just didn't work, keeping a black screen showing nothing while the power light was still on.So I called the customer service which tooks me nearly one hour to get the resolution that I had to send my computer back to have it repaired for the problem of,they said,LCD no back light/video play.I'm so frustrated and disappointed 'cause this is my first HP notebook and I just got it yesterday,is there anyone of you who also used to have this kind of unpleasant experience?

Don't have it repaired. Return it instead and then buy another one again.
You shouldn't have to end up with a "repaired laptop", especially when you just bought it.
Good luck. -

This is just what I would do. It's up to you to decide.
Good luck -

Just call HP customer service and tell them you want to return the laptop for a refund and state your issue with the laptop. Then go online and order a new one. That is what i would do unless you are unable to get the laptop again for the same price you paid before. If the cost has gone up quite a bit then i guess you could go ahead and go through with the repair. It's up to you.

What if I want to buy another brand? Will they give back a full refund?

brianstretch Notebook Virtuoso
And order a dv9000 series while you're at it, since you're going to have to send your dv8000t back no matter what.

dv8000 had keyboard problem~~~~~ do not buy it~~~~absolutely

I'm sure everything will work out fine with you. Return that model and I suggest you get something else. I was deciding between a dv8000t and the new dv6000t. I went to best buy to check out dv8000t for the last time. I experienced the annoying keyboard problem and I said, that's it for dv8000t. I ordered myself a dv6000t. Looks better and I here the new series do not have keyboard problems. =] I wish you luck hbk!

Thanks buddies,I've already order the return. So as you guys mentioned,dv8000 has the keyboard defect and it only happens on dv8000,right?What about others?Actually, the reason I choose dv8000 is for its Go7600 but now I just get stuck with the bloatware and partition problem on HP's machine. And I noticed Dell's E1705 which costs almost the same money but has a GO7900GS card.Anyway,I gotta return my dv8000 right now.
Who can comfort me,the heart break kid.
