If anyone has had success upgrading there dv9000 from xp to vista please let others know and explain how you have done it. I have tried it and so far I could not get the web cam to work, the qucik launch buttons will not work, the speaker button stays lit up orange wether the speaker is muted or not, and I can't get windows aero to work either (vista ultimate). So I have restored my notebook back to xp (took 3 hours) and I want to start over. Any info would be helpful. I tried to go to the hp utility but the link isn't working again.

    Thanks

I upgraded my dv9000 with no problems. Well I say upgraded but I installed the full version. As for drivers http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=101584 has a post of most of the drivers. you can get everything working. Some things act a bit quirky at times but its to be expected.

Ive done a clean install on a seperate partition for Vista just to test it out and everything works fine but havent actually tested the webcam yet. they say in vista u have to open something like windows live messanger to check it out.
