Why is the NVIDIA GO 6150 GeForce states it is up to 288MB Shared Video? Is there a way to adjust the memory up to the full 288MB? I have all the current drivers and can't figure out how this is possible that it is 288MB.

In the BIOS there should be a setting to change the shared memory to 128MB. This is the fixed amount that the 6150 will always use. The rest is up to the drivers. They will automatically allocate up to 288MB total to the card when needed.

So it's safe to say the card is good for gaming? Since the computer will allocate more Megabytes when needed

It is considerably less bad for gaming than most other shared memory GPUs. Ideally you'd have spent the money to buy the GeForce 7600 option in a configure-to-order notebook direct from hp.com but that's more expensive than buying a retail configuration.

Just because the card can use a lot of memory doesn't mean it's good.

The nVidia 7600 Go that's offered on the dv9000t comes in two versions, 256MBs and 512MBs.

The 7600 Go can't use the extra 256MB on the latter model, so it doesn't mean it's better for gaming.

Just to make that clear. More memory doesn't always mean better performance.

    :)

True but that extra memory seems to effect the score of Vista Ulimate 64 which I have on my system when I changed the memory to 128mb dedicated my score changed as well

well if u think itll make ur games run better then try some out and change the amount of memory. i doubt you will see anything to be happy for. the vista score thingy is not exactly the most definitive guide to benchmarking, go for 3dmark 03-06 for that.
