    Hello,
The hp business laptops and the dv series have a lot of price difference. I dont understand why. The specs are also in some cases not very different from each other.

I think the business line also has spill resistant keyboards, but I'm not sure.

The nx series cost mor because it's more mobile and features more portibility. It has better battery and lighter weighter even though the specs r the same as the Pavilion series.

    Hope that helped, Daniel

Quality is one of the big price differences. Security/business features are another.

Another one is the fact that the 15.4" nc8430 business model contains the powerful x1600GPU.

The LCD frame is also made of magnesium alloy in HP's business notebooks if I'm not mistaken.

Another reason why business line is more is because they have a built in warranty that the consumer line does not have. The business line usually has a 3 year warranty rather than the 1 year that the consumer line has.

It seems like all the companies that make a buisness version of a computer, the buisness version has about double the quality. My dad has dell prescision mobile workstation notebook and it seems like its invincible, fast, reliable, and extremely sturdy and durable. Same with HP's buisness notebooks.
