I have a dv6113us with vista aero on. I've turned it off to see if it would decrease the temperature around my touchpad but it still heats up. I have 2gb of ram already and my notebook is sitting on top of a zalman zm-nc1000. Does anybody have any idea if this is a problem or should i just ignore it. This is the only area that is overheating, everywhere else is cool thanks to the cooler.

Generally the hard drive is near or below the touch pad, and hard drives get warm, so it's normal.
My dv2000t does the same thing.
If it's getting to the point where it uncomfortable when you touch it, then I'd suggest getting it checked out. -
it's not uncomfortable, but i'm just concerned. I have a pretty decent cooler right under the HDD and RAM slots so I think i'm fine.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it.
