I am shopping for a new notebook and have decided to go for the new AMD X2 series notebooks. My question is should I go WidowPC or Voodoo. I do not mind the price on the books, but who is better, e.i. customer service, Tech support, build quality, etc. These are the only two companies I could find that are going to offer this proccesor. Any help will be apprisiated, suggestions or any alteratives.

On an odd note the Voodoo X2 notebook, cofigured the same as the WidowPC, is about $100-200 less. That shocked me.

Voodoo seems clearly the way to go as I see it. They have top notch customer service, and for the same money as the Widow PC you get a very very nice custom paint job as opposed to the standard Clevo 900 shell color with a sticker of a spider on it.

I don't know about WidowPC, but Voodoo wires their machines with perfection and you get "the package". Hypersonic is much like Voodoo though a bit smaller I believe. I would go with Hypersonic or Voodoo if you want a customized paint job... otherwise through Sager if you just want the fast computer with the plain shell.

But with regard to the x2 proc, Voodoo is the way to go. I've been researching these machines also for the past several weeks.

Notesaber, I am a Voodoo owner and agree with the post above. I have no experience with X2 or Widow PC, but can vouch for Voodoo's service. The one negative issue, in my experience, is that there IS an occasional glitch in its communications with customers that you should be aware of prior to purchase. However, this area is improving.

The quality of Voodoo's machines, confirmation of purchase, shipping and warranty work are all usually very good (see ResellerRatings).

In case your unaware, Voodoo has a forum which you may join without being an owner. You can post there and get fairly straight answers and advice about Voodoo from other members with a minimum of fanboyism. Good luck.
