    Hi all,

The wifi link 1000 in my system has broken (Dv6TSE) - can I just buy another wifi link 1000 card from a third party vendor, or does it have to be from HP?

    Thanks.

    HP is your best bet.

However, on eBay you will find compatible cards that will work with HP. But you have to read the descriptions to make sure.

Can I still use other HP branded cards for other systems, even if the part number is not listed on my service manual?

Does it still use the same bios?

Isnt your laptop still under warranty?? HP is more than happy to replace it with another one even it isn't broken.

This is what you are looking for ?? I found it on my dv6tse service guide.
