Do any of the Voodoo reps on the forum know if Voodoo will be at Digital Life in September? HP will be there, so if Voodoo has some kind of booth set up I would definitely want to check it out. Will Rahul be there? Will Voodoo only show off the Envy 133 and Omen or other products, too?

    Looks like we will be.
As for Rahul, I dunno yet. (Boy is probably still sleeping. :p)

Thanks for the heads up, iMaxx. I really hope that at least a pre-production model of the 15" Envy is there. On the Voodoo forum, I heard that the new Envy laptops will be announced by the end of August. It would be really sweet to be able to see them before I order one.

Nah, I'm almost 100% positive you won't see a 15" Envy in person.

That's just the whole point of companies like Voodoo and Alienware: YOU DON'T GET TO SEE THE THING and then buy it.

You buy it, gamble on what you're gonna get, maybe feel satisfied and keep it, or return it.

Is it that hard to set up a kiosk or something? Maybe strike a partnership with Bestbuy?

Voodoo and Alienware don't sell in retail (Alienware sort of does in a few stores in Australia), so there's no point in them setting up a kisok in BestBuy. Then, not only would they still be gaming boutiques, they would triple or quadruple their profits by getting rich noobs to buy their system in a place like BestBuy, so they would turn more into your everyday brand. I know that Alienware will have the m15x and the m17x at Digital Life since they have them at every convention that they go to. I'm sure that Voodoo will have the Omen and the Envy 133, and probably the 15" Envy, too, if it's announced.

i know voodoo was in last year's 2007 convention. they might have the laptop but they dont really have that many there. Dell actually had a couple m1730s for people to try out. the voodoo stall is also kinda small. quite small compared to dell imo.

you can get the blackbird in retail, stores. I'm not sure where, but I would like to say Bestbuy.
