Will my Envy last me for college if I'm also gaming?

So I got the current gen Envy recently because I thought it'd be cheaper, now I'm feeling a bit of buyer's remorse knowing that the new one is coming out with an free Xbox, effectively making it the same price (right?). It's too late for me to return this Envy so my question is, will this be a good laptop for the next four years if I'm doing a lot of gaming on it?

    Thanks in advance!

it will last for 4years if you treat it right, but I don't know how well it will be for gaming 2-4yrs from now.

For gaming, it would be able to play new games at a decently playable rate for about 2 years or less
