Around this forum I've seen some mentioning of a supposed dv3t model with a 13.3" screen, yet I havent found any info about it.

    Could anyone clear this up?

I doubt it..for now there's a 14"1 dv4t.. I think it would hurt its sales if they relese a dv3t.. but you never know!

Quite possibly in south east asia. HP has some 13.3" pavillions there.

Just got an email today with the NEW DV3Z - looks like a winner with ultra light combined with full size features. Actually thinking about one of these (we picked up a DV7T a few months ago and have been very happy with it).

    [edit]

Though it was a T but it's a Z (so I guess it's AMD powered? Is that the suffix difference?)

http://www.hp.com http://www.costco.com both have them as a custom build option. They come with the LED screen standard a $100 option on the other models. http://www.bestbuy.com had the intel model. It looks like they don't have light scribe. You can 8 gigs of ram and an 80 gig SSD drive as an option also.

Best buy in canada is selling the HP DV3500 which is the 13.3 inch that was available in hong kong for a while. It's got it all, Centrino 2, backlit keyboard, nvidia 9 series etc ec. That's the one I'm buying within the next couple weeks (once I settle up on something with HP).

I'm still wondering why they need a 14", 15", 16", 17" and an 18". Couldn't they just make do with a 13", 15", 17" and maybe an 18"? I suppose the 14" is a Toyota Prius, the 15" is a Honda Civic, the 16" is a Dodge Magnum, the 17" is a Dodge Charger and the 18" is a Hummer?

^ LOL, hi there long lost brother. your car analogy is quite accurate. it's just something for everybody. so they dont lose a customer saying "i wish hp made a 13 inch laptop" or someone saying " 17 inches is too small for me, i wish hp made an 18 inch laptop..."

DV3z is using the small form factor provided by the Puma Platform. Intel does not have powerful small platform that would compete with dv3z. Btw, I am talking about the whole platform (graphics, processor, etc.),, not just the Processor. I know intel fans love touting their processors, but without a good graphics card, its not an all around laptop!

 Do you know there is an Intel version of the DV3 that was out before the AMD version. And who said Puma is smaller in size than Centrino 2? It isn't, otherwise it would be in the DV2 and not the Neo chips.

For the overall power (graphics + CPU), dont you think PUMA is faster? The only thing Intel can stick in a small form factor laptop is a 4500hd card. Which is way underpowered compared to the 3200hd of the puma.

As I said, the DV3500, which was originally available only in hong kong, but I'm seeing it all over the place now.

Not the best analogy to use lol. Those are totally different cars all together. What I'd be inclined to saying is a (toyota) Yaris, then Corolla, then Camry, then Avalon (13, 14, 15, 16 respectively), and maybe an 4runner and Land Cruiser (17 and 18 respectively). YOu could use this analogy for ANY car brand, I just chose toyota.

Well the 10" Mini-Note could be more like a Miata - small, light and easy to throw around. ;)

I think you are talking about this: http://www.dustinhome.se/pd_5010189255.aspx?csref=Prisjamforelse_Pricerunner_5460 Seems that it´s only avaliable in Europe or something. It´s based on a centrino platform with a Geforce 9300m GS with 512MB dedicated memory, NOT an intel 4500. I´m recieving mine tomorrow, they sold out just after I ordered mine so I think maybe I got the last one :) It´s avaliable on other swedish webshops of course but you have to add almost 90€ more, guess I was lucky ;)
