This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     My local CompUSA is closing tomorrow, so I got a 1gb SODIMM of Centon "MacReady DDR2-667 / PC2-5400 for Core Duo iMac" for 90% off. It makes no mention of compatibility with non-Macs, but it looks, smells, and tastes like normal DDR2. Will this memory make my DV6000t explode?

    Just put it in and run memtest86+. Worst thing that can happen is BSOD or failure to boot due to faulty/incompatible memory.
