Everything about this notebook it perfect, from the multimedia functions, to the screen and Ram configuration.
Yet, since I occasionally game, is it the best choice?
Is there a HP, in the same range, but with a slightly better card, or will there be in the near future?
Perhaps an 8400?

The X3100 is not a gamers card. You would be better off waiting for the nVidia options coming to this model.

Well I guess it depends on what kind of games you want to play and whether you care much about playing at higher resolution and settings. The X3100 should do well on most games 2 years and older and you should even be able to play some newer games at lower resolutions and settings.

i wouldnt limit discrete video cards to gamers only...lots of graphics people enjoy the more powerful cards as well. I dont play games but need it for photo and video editing...
Will this notebook have a better graphics card?
