Can I use one of these to install games to and play from it while hooked up to the laptop?

I have noticed in only installing MS flight SIm, a 2004 baseball game, Prince of Persia, and the Matrix, I have used up quite a bit of the hard drive.........I am looking at getting one of these monsters......

I wanted to connect it to the laptop and install games to it and play them....Seems like there would be plenty of room. My main question is since I have never used this before, would it work as well as my laptop hardrive (5400rpm).......which I am very satisified with.....

    Thanks in advance......
This is what I wanted to get to do this…….

Are you wanting to store these games on this drive or are you wanting to actually run them from it. I am not sure you will be able to run the games from the drive. I very well could be wrong, and I have never used it. I would call the company or the store you are planning to buy it from and see what they say. If all else fails make sure you keep your recepit and give it a try :)

I want to install them to the hard drive and with the hard drive plugged in play them. We have numerous games and I can see now that it would take no time at all to fill the existing 80 gig hd. I noticed that the 250 version of this external drive has 8mb cache and also a 7200 spindle speed...........both better than what is in my laptop.

You'll be fine. Games only load from the hard drive, its actually never accessed during gameplay.
