Possibly 15.4" with hdmi or dvi out or docking port capable?

Or will they just use the existing designs?

That'd be really cool. But I think HP have done really well, overall, with this current design.

The bigger question I feel, however, is how Dell plan to revamp their Inspiron lineup. THE WHITE BUMPERS HAVE TO GO!!!!!

It's very likely that we'll see new designs from most manufacturers especially Dell (they have used the same design for their Inspiron lineup for more than 2 years).

I hope Hp's business line stays the same as it is (similar to thinkpad, but little more stylish...). Plain & minimal black/grey design, nothing beats that... not any shiny surfaces or white glassy look. Mac's aluminum silver design is top, but thinkpads t60 or hps nc&nw8430/nx&nw9420-9440 are close for me ;)

That's an interesting question. Of course they only made minimul changes to the existing line with the release of Vista, and before that with the launch of the Core 2 Duos, but I would think that a whole new chipset warrants a new line-up. So I'm betting on a major model change-up, but I can't really back up that prediction with anything other than gut feeling and the impression that it's about time -- at the minimum, it will almost certainly cause them to change from the current x200 models (that started shipping with Vista) to x300 models, but I would think they would use the opportunity to release all new systems -- at least on the consumer-line models.

Yeah, I think a hardware/model revamp is due, considering the current platform running Vista was originally designed for XP.

It would be nice to see some more diverse gpu options, especially from ATI (since they are better supported lately).
