hello,
yesterday, i have replace my 2 `* 1GB Memory to 2 * 2GB Memory on my HP 6910p. In BIOS MEmory check does not show errors.
But after starting XP, in My Computer Properties i see only 3GB.
I work with severals VMWare Images so i need all 4 GB.
Is this a HP Problem or a Windows Problem?
How can i resolve the Problem
Thanks for help

Windows XP is 32bit, which is limited to 3gb of RAM
You will need to use a 64bit OS to utilize 4gb -
32-bit Windows? 32-bit OSes have a 4GB limitation and other resources consume a portion of it, making less than 4GB available for the OS and processes.

To verify your RAM, press F10 to enter BIOS and view the amount of memory installed. It should show that you have 4GB installed. -
If you want to use all 4gb, you need to install a 64bit OS.
Win XP does not show 4 GB RAM
