what app did you use to watch blu-ray movies, if you don't remember you can go to hp website and look for the software your your laptop, which should be w7 compatible if its a relatively new system post vista.

I download all drivers from the hp website designed for win7. Then i tried to watch the movie on wmp but no luck. Then i installed the cyberlink suite from the original folder of my prior vista and then quickplay latest update.

Also i download the driver designed on nvidia website of win7. But the sofware stills freezes.

What process do i need to follow in order to install it propertly and be able to see the bd discs?

as far as i know, they've done away with native Blu-Ray players. seems crazy, but that's what i read a couple weeks ago when i was going through the same issue.this means you have go buy expensive software just to play a BR disc. crazy. i went ahead and found a "special" copy of PowerDVD 9.0 Ultra. i believe it costs $100.

I too had to get a "copy" of windvd 2010 in order to get play the blue ray and it works.

Too sad that there are not available enough drivers / software yet from hp. Hopefully soon we will receive them.
