We can't bypass passwords for you on this forum. It's against the forum rules.

However, I can tell you that it's freakishly easy. Hit up Google.

if she didn't change the user name, then the default log on user name should be: default
    possibly: owner, user,

as for password, nope, can't help you there unless you can log on. (*cough* Google *cough*)
if you don't care about the data on the drive, reformat the drive, reinstall windows 98... problem solved.

    also, Windows 98?

Pressing "Esc" on keyboard or "Cancel" with mouse at the password prompt will start windows. You will not have access to network drives or whatever would be wanted, as you haven't logged in. Win98 isn't really designed to have passwords or security of any kind,, so this is normal behaviour for it.

ok, so the notebook is WIN2000, not 98.. does not have a CD-ROM or floppy disk neither PXE boot or USB boot. We have a Vista PC which i can install Server 2003 on at any time, yet w/out PXE enabled net card I *think* its pointless. Im thinking of removing the HDD and connecting it to my main PC.. unless some1 here has a better idea? Pockys email addy is - [email protected]. Thanks :).
