    I have a dv5000z if it matters.

My quickplay is gone cuz I reformatted and didn't save it.. if that matters, too.

Anyways, I see that my remote control works with WMP (play, pause, stop, etc.), but it doesn't work with my winamp. Winamp sounds much better, so I want to use that for my music, but I can't control winamp other than starting the program with the remote control.

So, is there any way to configure my remote so that it will be compatible fully with winamp?

Edit: Oh and a quick question. I put the HP Quick Launch button icon on "hide" and then I found out there's no way to access it again to change my settings.. so how I can I fix that?

The Quick Launch Button should be listed in Control Panel. If you have hidden it, you may use TweakUI to unhide it.
For using remote control functions in Winamp, check the box in Preference\Global Hotkeys\enable.
