Windows (Vista) Updates shows this update for my Compaq Presario F572US notebook PC: "nVidia - Display - NVIDIA GeForce Go 6100". The size of the download is 64.3MB.
I visited nVidia's website to see whether they had an update; they had none. So, I'm wondering whether I should get this update suggested by Windows Update or ignore it.

There's no guarantees that Windows Update isn't offering you an "update" from 2007 or something like that
Is there any version numbers shown? What you have now, what is offered in Win Update and what's shown available in nVidia's site?
Latest desktop drivers should work if modded for mobile. A little work but probably the best choise. -
Windows Update does not show a version # but says the nVidia update was released in June 2009. I now have 7.15.11.7713. HP's website shows 7.15.11.6743, a version preceding my current version.
If I go to NVIDIA's website, they show no drivers in the GeForce category, for GeForce Go 6 Series. See http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index5.aspx?lang=en-us
