I've installed WS2003R2 on a HP6910p notebook. it works great (and sees all 4GB of RAM)... really, the only way to use all the memory without using XP Pro x64 (with its total lack of driver support) or Vista x64 (which is just a dog)...

Anyway, everything works great, with the exception of the SD card reader. The HP drivers install, and all the devices show up in device manager, but when a card is inserted, it fails. In device manager, it fails with a code 10 (This device can not start).

I went as far as to force the XP drivers in this OS, and I still get the same results. Looks good in device manager until you actually insert a card.

I have spent hours scouring the net for a fix, and have tried all the advice I have been able to find, without a fix. The only thing I have not been able to try is the driver referred to in this post:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=89312

because the link is dead. It looks like a few have installed those drivers with success (and it also looks like others have found other solutions that have not worked for me, so I'm not getting my hopes up too much...)

Anyone have a line on that driver, or another solution to get the Ricoh SD reader to work under Windows 2003R2 server?

    Thanks.
