    Hello

My notebook is a HP Pavilion dv6-1220sb with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530 graphics card. I am running Windows 7 and I am trying to install the drivers.

Out of the box Windows 7 detecs the graphics card as:
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series (Microsoft Corporation WDDM 1.1)

    This are the hardware IDs:
    PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9553&SUBSYS_3628103C&REV_00
    PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9553&SUBSYS_3628103C
    PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9553&CC_030000
    PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9553&CC_0300

I have modified the .inf files by adding this line:
    "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530" = ati2mtag_M9x, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9553
    "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530" = ati2mtag_M9x, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9553&SUBSYS_3628103C

When I run the installer it finishes very quickly and no software is installed and there are no error warnings.

    What am I doing wrong?

The Vista drivers from HP's site will work just fine. As an alternative, you can download the official Catalyst drivers and patch in mobile support with DriverHeaven's Mobility Modder.
