    Windows 7 drivers unavailable from HP for Envy 15t-k000 - Buyers BEWARE

    Hi,

    I just purchased 3 Envy 15t-k000s directly from HP. Two of them had no issues during setup, the third had a corrupt wireless driver; I've been working in software and building PCs for 18 years so it was no big deal. When I went to HP's support to download the driver, to my surprise not only were the drivers listed out dated (laptops shipped with bios F.09, bios listed F.07), the wireless driver was not listed. I then let the website search my configuration - same conclusion.

    I call HP tech support and asked if they could provide me with a link to the wireless driver so I could download it, I was extremely let down to the response: I would need to use the built in driver update software to get the new driver, it is the only way; this was after I explained to the person that I only have WiFi. At this point the tech told me the only option would be to restore my configuration..excellent. So I asked the common sense question: what happens if my hard drive crashes tomorrow - how would I rebuild my system if I couldn't get the drivers from HP - the tech put me on hold, came back and said that I would have to wait for HP to update the drivers on their support site, that is the only option they would give me.

    So if for any reason you need to rebuild your laptop you are SOL for drivers from HP. You will also be SOL even from an issue escalated to a case manager.

    "I have as well provided other option in order to see what else can be done, but did advice that if the driver aren’t there we would have to wait until HP comes out with the drivers. If you would like to check the Intel web page to see if there are other driver available for your computer please do so. If not we will have to wait until HP comes out with them."

    Another sad part about this; I explained to everyone I spoke with (after provided the laptop serial number) that the WiFi adapter is Qualcomm - last I checked the Intel website doesn't carry Qualcomm drivers.

    I have and currently own several HP laptops however they've removed the reviews from their site for a reason - their quality and customer services are at an all time low!

    Beware and research before you purchase! :confused:
