    Worth installing it?

Can I just downgrade back down to vista at the end of the year trial?

Is it better? Is it compatible?

Well Windows 7 comes out officially on October 22nd so you're probably just better off waiting. Especially since it may be harder to upgrade from Windows 7 RC1 to the official Windows 7 than it would be from Vista:

Personally, I'm just going to wait for Windows 7 and Upgrade then. I'll be doing a clean install. In the mean time, Vista is doing great for me.

I wouldn't install it until HP releases their drivers for the laptop. Not everything to going to be compatible right off the bat. I know Vista drivers "work", but it doesn't run as great as I would want. Just wait...I tried it, but certain drivers just don't work properly it seems. Looks really nice though haha.

Been using Windows 7 from day 1 of the beta and now the RC1 and it is a much more stable OS. I've never seen the "Program not Responding" crap that Vista keeps running into. There are many new features, but mainly looks the same besides being able to do slide show desktop wallpapers.

I can confirm that, it is much more stable than Vista, and it is also faster and packs a few nice UI improvements. :)

Stable, faster and better looking, best MS OS so far. Have it on dv6000 since day one everything worked with no problem.

Yea I heard about 7 working on the dv6000 series flawlessly without requiring additional drivers. I'm gonna go ahead and wait til HP releases drivers. Or at least, Intel and a few other companies start releasing their own 7 drivers.
