Has anyone been able to make Envy Touchpad work with Windows 8? This is holding me back, it just quits with the message "Failed to initialize touchpad! exiting...". I think unless I can make this work I won't upgrade, seeing as the smooth/inertial scrolling with the Synaptic drivers is terrible. Has anyone been able to make it work or has a working alternative?

Working fine here on my ENVY 17t-3200. I did an upgrade from Win7.

Shouldn't this be in the ENVY forum?

I am talking about the "Envy Touchpad" application by Reil, not the touchpad itself. My laptop is a dv6-61XX
