After reformatting and installing Vista 64bit on my 9500, the windows experience index was showing it rated just a 1. Before the install it rated 4.6.

The index kept giving me a New Hardware Detected and that I needed to rerun the experience index. Even after rerunning it, would still show a 1.

I found this on another site:

Have you had an error where Windows Experience Index in Vista won't refresh?

Here is the fix I found with some help from a few forums.

    Go to C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore
    Delete all of the files
    Reboot (might not be necessary)
    Rerun the assesment
This was tested on an HP Laptop with Vista x64 and a GeForce Go 7600 (Nvidia).

I do not see a reason to try this unless you have the problem described.

well, this thing is really funny, 'cause my laptop is dv9207us, and it was 1, and after I installed a clean vista then it became 4.5 :D :D
