Like several members on this great Forum I have ordered from Microsoft (c/o WindowsAnytimeUpgradeStore.com) a DVD to proceed with a clean install on my dv9700t CTO. Like a lot of us I have been disappointed by the no show. :(

My order was placed January 3 and shipped January 4. Never arrived.
I requested another one January 16. Shipped January 18. Never delivered.
I called end of January. A third DVD was mailed to me. Still waiting.

Yesterday, coming from nowhere, I received the DVD just an hour after I finished downloading Vista from Digital.....

    Today, I got a second DVD :p

My clean install went smoothly thanks to the great job done by OREV.
I could not have done it without his Guide.
Thanks again, OREV. You are the Guide :D

As far as I know HP doesn't put it on the drive or send you the disc. They have their own recovery options. At least I didn't get any discs or see it on my laptop. I just ordered the anytime upgrade DVD a couple of days ago so I hope I don't have to wait too long to receive. I'll try the download as well in the meantime.

If I had it on my HD, I would not have ordered it, or downloaded it, and wait for the clean install.

Funny part is I just looked at the cover of the second DVD: it is in French!
    So, no use of it.

I placed an order on Saturday, and my credit card has not yet been billed.

I replied to the email that I received (has my order #) asking when they were going to bill & ship. I received an automated response saying that they would be in touch.

Anyone know where to lookup the order # online? I couldn't find anything about this on the WAU website.

My xp to vista upgrade took 5 months.

I had to order replacement media for a busted vista dvd and it took 3 months before i got it.

My last order was a x64 anytime dvd and it only took 2 weeks, 2 weeks is way to long for normal webshops but for microsoft it's almost like science fiction ...

Same here, my WUA disc took 8 days to deliver. However, I emailed their contact support after which the disc arrived 48 hrs later. Maybe you have to nudge them?
