I am considering buying the ZV5000Z computer. However, according to support at HP, the computer does not come with the complete version of Windows XP - just a "Quick Restore" CD. Will this be a problem when replacing the hard drive with a higher speed one?

This forum has been extremely helpful.

Well, I think that's for the XP home version. I got a XP Pro CD when I ordered mine with Pro installed.

I received a full XP Home CD with mine, with a separate drivers CD (installs all the drivers in one shot, very slick) and applications CDs. It made doing a full reinstall after swapping in a 7200RPM drive very easy.

With my zv5000 CTO, I received a disc labeled "Operating System CD Microsoft Windows XP SP1a" It is black.

Does this have the complete operating system on there?
