Hello, i am interested in getting XP on this laptop, for reasons some programs of mine not being x64 compatible with my vista Premium x64 that i have on it now.

I tried to install Windows XP Ultimate edition by johnny [Removed]Windows XP Ultimate Edition (by Johnny)[/url]) but no success. If i could please get some help in putting a 32bit windows XP on this laptop, that would be very kind. Thanks!

most likely you need to slipstream the SATA drivers using 'nlite'... Exactly what difficulty are you experiencing? The hard part is getting together all the other drivers for your particuliar hardware configuration ... if they all exists.

that version of xp had some sort of error in installing, i think it did not detect hd. I have also tried a "hot" version of xp which is supposed to have a bunch of sata drivers on it. It ended up being a x64 version, but worked, kind of. I got through the install process, and when it reboots into windows for the "on hard disk" part of the install(no cd in drive) where you would set up users and networks and the like, it blue screens, and reboots. Since this version had sata drivers on it and seen my hd, i am guessing it is video or cpu driver that is the issue?

Thread closed. You are installing a pirated version and we don not allow discussion of that nature.

The first to check when you have an installation problem via cds is if the cd and the content have integrity but pirated cds make that very hard(one reason to avoid them). Another reason is TINSTAAFL(There's no such thing as a free lunch). If someone is competent enough to take the time to add drivers/extra software/cracks, then he just as competent enough to add software to install a back door into your computer or make your computer a bot(to send massive emails which will cause you problems with your Internet provider).

I suggest looking into XP mode provided by Window 7. Windows 7 also has other compatibility options that might work for old programs and Windows 7 should work better on a modern computer than XP(7 will have a better selection of built in drivers).
