    Hello.

I have a problem while recording audio into my laptop. I get a "windy" or "blowing" noise all throughout recording.

I use an omnidirectional microphone plugged into laptop (Compaq nc2400) to record voice only. This is for my job, not for fun.

I have tried everything to solve this problem and have been unsuccessful. It's not the mic. I tested that with my other laptop. I also used two other mics that I have and still get "windy" result, and the audio is much lower.

I took the laptop to an HP authorized service center twice. The first time, the technician installed drivers and not sure what else he did, but that did not work. I took it back and he installed a new motherboard. Well, that didn't work either.

Can anyone please, please help me?

    Thank you!!!
