    Hi,
I will be returning my 1 month old laptop to HP in return for an upgrade in the works.

Aside from uninstalling my programs i.e.: outlook, etc. is there a preferred method to wipe the drive clean to ensure any personal data is not sent back with the unit?

I would consider wiping the drive totally but in accordance with HP return policy I'm supposed to keep all the OS and original software intact
( imagine they wipe the drive clean when refurbishing anyway though..)

    any thoughts?

    Thanks

I'd download Boot'n'Nuke, nuke the drive then reinstall the os.. lol anything there previously is 100% gone.
