My wife has a Dv6000. Is there a way to set the wireless config. to hold the WEP code? I've tried everything I can think of, which may not be very much. My company's DELL D820 remembers it just fine and I don't remember telling it too. I can't even find a place to tell the DV6000 to remember the password. It's very annoying to have to type a long character string everytime she boots it up.

    TIA :)

It should remember it automatically, my dv6000 seems to just fine. You should make sure it's setup to automatically connect to your network while in range. If it's not chances are it would ask for the p/w everytime if you have to manually connect.

mmmmm try this, go into the Wireless Connection Properties, Under preferred networks highlight your network, and hit properties again, under the Wireless Network Key make sure the p/w is there and confirmed with the Key Index set to 1.
