My HP DV9417 cannot connect to my wireless network from my room. It doesn't get any signal. Its running vista, and a broadcom pre-n card. My older Toshiba laptop works perfectly fine from the same location, so does my mac mini.
    Thanks

Is the wireless card disabled by a hardware switch?

Nope, checked all that. Wireless is enabled. Tried today a external usb wireless card and it works. Internal one doesnt want to work.

Is the card present in the Device manager? Is it active there?
Do you mean really low signal or nothing at all?

Very low signal 27%, while my other wireless devices are above 80%.
    Thanks
