here are the two numbers which are written on the laptop,, my friend who checked it ( as it is from another country ) not sure about which of them is the serial num !!
5CHINA1350KA9
886112205xxx ( xxx is just another 3 numbers )

Product number ending should be something like: #ABD (#xxx). In your case it looks like #KA9, so product number is 5CHINA1350#KA9.
And you need serial number, which is 886112205***.
As you can see, "the fourth through sixth digits of the serial number are" 112 (886 112205***), so this laptop is not affected by Intel's chipset flaw.
P.S. do not post your serial number in public. For safety reasons, edit your post and hide a few last numbers of your serial number. -
by the time the 61xx series shipped, the problem was corrected... The only affected HP SB laptops were the first run PRIOR to the 6000 series shipping (although there WAS a lot of confusion when the 6000's were first released, because the utility CPUID still reported the defective version - which was determined to be something other than reality... I don't remember the exact details ) .

back in April 2011, ripwind tore up his shiny DV6 just to confirm that 6000 series used B3 stepping.

My dv6 is included but haven't noticed the effect yet. But better to fix it since it's free.
