I recently purchased a notebook that's part of the dv4000 series and love it- except for the LCD screen. It just isn't sturdy; it shakes when I type or even when someone jumps on the floor near me! I can live with it, but I'm worried that this isn't normal. What are other people's experiences with this?

There might be a problem with the hinges. I have seen, in the past, where hinges will fail in time because of the weight of the LCD. You may want to goto a store and see if this is normal. If it also happens at the stores, then it's the deisgn of the hinges and there's nothing to worry about, but if it doesn't, get your unit replaced (or repaired if it's after the exchange period).
