Has anyone been able to compare performance between the HDX18 and the Dv8 Core i7? I have a maxed out HDX18 that I use for dabbling in photography and my amateur HD video (just a hobby). I'm wondering if I'd notice a significant performance increase? My HDX is quite fast, but I'd be willing to upgrade to the DV8 if the performance is much better.

    The real differences are :

Windows 7 : You can buy it separately

Core i7 : You'll not notice a big difference with your maxed out HDX

NVidia 230m : The 230m is already outdated

Keyboard backlight : The Dv8 doesn't have a keyboard backlight...

My advice : Better to wait a better GC or take an Acer or Toshiba with a good graphic card.
