Greetings - I've had my dv2 for a couple of weeks now but I've been disappointed at how slowly it runs. So - I did some Googlingthis morning and found some good posts about installing XP. The only difficult part was getting an XP SP2 cd with the AMD SATA/AHCI drivers slipstreamed onto it. Since I had a dv4z a few months back, and I had tried XP on it (unsuccessfully), I used that same XP disk on the dv2. It worked like a charm, and I am amazed at how well it runs with XP. I was considering selling it before today - now I'm very happy with it. Here is a link to the H-P forums with the best instructions in case anyone is interested: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/psg/board/message?board.id=Internet&message.id=3349
